Courses & workshops


Fees

• Places are booked on a first-come-first-served basis upon receipt of full payment.

• On booking and paying for a course or workshop you will receive a booking and payment confirmation via email.

• You will need to have paid in full for your course or workshop to guarantee your place. We do not accept deposits or part payments.

• Some courses may involve additional costs for materials. If this is the case it will be noted in the course or workshop description and/or over email correspondence before the course starts.

• Courses and workshops will need to reach a minimum class number to take place. If we do not recruit enough participants we will offer you a full refund or the option to transfer to another course or date. We will contact you a minimum of 2 days before to let you know if your course or workshop will not take place.

• We reserve the right to postpone a course if it does not reach the minimum capacity.

Cancellations

By Creative Space:

In the event we need to cancel the course or workshop for whatever reason you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another date free of charge.

By the attendee:

• For courses booked and paid directly through Creative Space a refund of 85% will be given up to 14 days prior to the course start date. The fee is to allow for admin and payment processing costs. If a student cancels within 14 days we are unable to offer a refund.

• If your circumstances change e.g. due to work commitments, childcare issues, moving away etc. a refund will not be given within 14 days of the workshop.

• We consider all requests on an individual basis, depending on the circumstances.

Rescheduling

• You may transfer to another course or workshop up to 14 days before the start date. We cannot offer any date changes within 14 days of the start date.

• If your circumstances change e.g. due to work commitments, childcare issues, moving away etc. we cannot offer a date change within 14 days of the workshop.

• If you have rescheduled your booking you will not be eligible for another date change or refund

For bookings made directly via the workshop leader's website, please refer to their cancellation policy and contact them regarding any changes to your booking.

Health and safety

• Please note that the courses take place in an active workshop environment and may involve the use of hand tools and domestic power tools. A health and safety talk will be given at the beginning of every course and full instruction will be given on the safe use of tools every time a new one is introduced.

• First aid supplies are available on site.

• All students are expected to work safely, be considerate to the students working around them and leave their workspace tidy at the end of each class.

Voucher Terms

• Vouchers can be redeemed against courses and workshops at Creative Space. The class does not have to take place before the expiry date as long as the booking is made before.

• Cancellations or re-schedule of voucher spaces can be made up to 14 days before the event. After that, they cannot be cancelled or exchanged for another course or date.

• No part of the voucher is exchangeable for cash or materials.

Term & Conditions – Studio hire

• Room hire is subject to full payment to secure the space and inclusion on the Creative Space website, within our publicity and use of the display window.

• If you don't sell enough tickets for your workshop or want to reschedule for any other reason we allow one reschedule for free within 3 months of your original booking. Please inform us no less than 5 days before the workshop date.

• If you would like to cancel you can do so 21 days before your workshop date for an 80% refund. The 20% covers the admin time promoting your workshop and listing on the website.

• Any cancellations within 21 days will not be eligible for a refund.

• You are required to have your own public liability insurance in place whilst teaching workshops at Creative Space
