A full day for 9+yr olds to gain confidence on a sewing machine with projects to take home.

Course description
Our kids sewing workshop is ideal if your child or teen is interested in machine sewing but doesn't have the confidence or basic skills to get started. Here, Lauren will teach the basic techniques and students will make a drawstring bag and a personalised appliqué cushion. Includes threading and setting up, different stitches, hemming, applique, and making and joining pieces of a simple pattern. Sewing machines, accessories and materials provided but if your child has their own machine they are welcome to bring it. Max 6 students. It will runs during summer holidays - Monday 28th July, 10am-3pm with a break for lunch (not provided). Minimum age 9 years. This is a drop-off course but a carer may stay if that works better with your child. Just let us know so we can plan the layout. PLEASE NOTE: We need a minimum of 3 participants for the workshop to go ahead. We will inform you 10 days before the workshop date if we haven't met this number.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations by Creative Space: • In the event we need to cancel the course or workshop for whatever reason you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another date free of charge. Cancellations by the attendee: • For courses booked and paid directly through Creative Space a refund of 85% will be given up to 14 days prior to the course start date. The fee is to allow for admin and payment processing costs. If a student cancels within 14 days we are unable to offer a refund. • If your circumstances change e.g. due to work commitments, childcare issues, moving away etc. a refund will not be given within 14 days of the workshop. • We consider all requests on an individual basis, depending on the circumstances. Rescheduling: • You may transfer to another course or workshop up to 14 days before the start date.
