Course description
Join basketmaker Mary Lewis in this beginner weaving workshop and make two bird-themed projects at our studio in Staple Hill. These are simple weaving projects that will introduce some of the basic weaves used in basket making including making a frame, waling, pairing weave and creating a simple trac border. The swallow is a popular decorative piece that looks great on a wall or hanging outside. The fatball birdfeeder is a practical design that will attract more real birds into your garden. Both project will be made from UK grown brown willow. All tools and materials will be provided. Please wear closed toe shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting a bit grubby. Date: Sunday 6th July, 10am-4pm. Includes materials and tools. Lunch not provided.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations by Creative Space: • In the event we need to cancel the course or workshop for whatever reason you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another date free of charge. Cancellations by the attendee: • For courses booked and paid directly through Creative Space a refund of 85% will be given up to 14 days prior to the course start date. The fee is to allow for admin and payment processing costs. If a student cancels within 14 days we are unable to offer a refund. • If your circumstances change e.g. due to work commitments, childcare issues, moving away etc. a refund will not be given within 14 days of the workshop. • We consider all requests on an individual basis, depending on the circumstances. Rescheduling: • You may transfer to another course or workshop up to 14 days before the start date.
